Join us at Norbury Village Hall for ‘Booked in the ‘Shire’. Following the interest in our preliminary meeting we’re bringing a new form of book club to the local area…
Think recent-read-themed mock/cocktails, new connections, confidence building, activity-based evenings, socials and more! As well as the usual chat on favourite chapters, ranking book-boyfriends and which characters drove us up the wall!
We want to create a safe space for members of the community but especially women to have a chance to talk, meet new people and delve into an interest everyone can get involved with. Being an adult is hard, making new connections in adulthood is even harder, we want to change that. You are encouraged to come, whether it be with a friend or alone to strike up new conversations and show the community how far a hint of kindness can go.
Unlimited tea and biscuits are provided as standard and there is an option to upgrade to a welcome cocktail/mocktail based on our recent read at time of purchase! (Challenge 25 will be in place)
Everyone is welcome however due to the nature of the reads and the supply of alcohol we are enforcing an 18+ rule of thumb.
